SpaceX Achieves Milestones Despite Setbacks in Third Starship Test Flight

In a notable display of technological advancement, SpaceX executed its third Starship test flight on March 14, 2024. Dubbed Starship Flight 3, the mission featured Booster 10 and Ship 28, aiming to showcase various pivotal capabilities including the operation of the payload dispenser door, in-space Raptor engine reignition, and cryogenic propellant transfer.

The launch window, spanning from 7:00 AM CDT (12:00 UTC) to 9:00 AM CDT (14:00 UTC), marked the beginning of a series of ambitious maneuvers. Booster 10 embarked on a soft splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, approximating a landing akin to the iconic "chopsticks" method.
